Burial will be in Ellington Township Cemetery, 5 miles south of the church.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 P.M., Sunday at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home 505 N. Clark Forest City and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Edmund, the son of Ernest and Thelma (Benson) Davis, was born March 24, 1945 in Forest City. He graduated from Forest City High School in 1963 and Waldorf College in 1965. Dear Family,
It was with great sadness that I learned of your father's passing. He was a great friend to us. We always enjoyed his visits after we moved to Decorah. He was a good man.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Your dad was such a kind person with a servant spirit.
I have to tell you about the first time I met your dad...It was Family Weekend at Waldorf in '93, and there was a student/parent look-alike contest. Several mothers and daughters entered the event, but as soon as we looked down the line and saw the sole father/son pair, we knew who the winners would be. And--sure enough--Ed and Kent won the student/parent look-alike contest! What a fun memory.
I remember Ed as a proud dad who enjoyed supporting each of you in your endeavors. He was also very friendly and quick to offer a "hello." He will be missed.

Our prayers are with you during these difficult days ahead. We know the Lord will give you strength, comfort and the "peace that passes understanding" as you lean on Him. We'll always remember Ed as a man who was busy doing things at the church. God bless his memory.

My deepest condolences go to all the Davis family in this time of loss. Ed was a dear friend to me and I surely will miss him in so many ways. He certainly taught many what it means to be a servant of the Lord.

We enjoyed sharing a table & visiting with him over brunch on Sundays in the Waldorf dining room. He was a kind, gentle man, and he'll be missed by so many friends. May God's peace be with all of his family.
