I remember Uncle David as being a very kind and gentle man. He was full of silly jokes and loved to tell a good story. Wisdom oozed through his pores and his love for the Lord was infectious. He will be missed. May angels sing you to your rest, Uncle David. Peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this time of loss. Pastor Samuelson was an important part of my spiritual life, as he was my confirmation teacher and did confirm me. He was a wonderful man, and I remember him fondly. Keep your memories close to heart and God Bless.

Dear Marilyn, I loved Dave. He was the first pastor to visit my office after I was called to Ringsted. I returned from vacation once and Dave had put a note on my pulpit: the heresy committee of the Iowa Synod has bugged
your pulpit! Dave will be missed. Jim Berka

I remember Dave's intellect, spiritual depth, ability to tell a story, warm presence, the twinkle in his eyes and his hearty laugh. I'm glad to believe that Cindy was able to joyously embrace her father as they were reunited by Our Father.
